Integrated Blast Furnace and Basic Oxygen Furnace¶
This dataset contains techno-economic data on an integrated BF-BOF steel plant including casting and rolling with and without carbon capture.
Fields¶
The techno-economic data is distinguished across the following additional fields.
Carbon capture (carbon_capture)¶
- No Capture: Conventional process without CO2 capture
- Top-gas recycling: Post-combustion top-gas recycling CO2 capture (41% capture rate)
- End-of-pipe: Post-combustion end-of-pipe CO2 capture (60% capture rate)
Aggregated parameters¶
All data added to the POSTED database is aggregated automatically using the POSTED framework. The result yields the following parameters:
